Morgan Freeman’s Upsets Pharma: Says Marijuana is ‘Only Relief for Fibromyalgia’

In an interview with the Daily Beast which was supposed to be about his recent movie, 5 Flights Up, actor Morgan Freeman instead began discussing the topic of marijuana. The Oscar-winning actor told the online magazine that marijuana helps him medically as a pain killer.

“Marijuana has many useful uses,” he says. “I have fibromyalgia pain in this arm, and the only thing that offers any relief is marijuana. They’re talking about kids who have grand mal seizures, and they’ve discovered that marijuana eases that down to where these children can have a life.

That right there, to me, says, ‘Legalize it across the board!’”
“And what negative effects does it have?” Freeman continues. “Look at Woodstock 1969. They said, ‘We’re not going to bother them or say anything about smoking marijuana,’ and not one problem or fight. Then look at what happened in ’99,” he says, referencing the less marijuana-friendly 30th-anniversary event, which resulted in riots and arrests.

In the video below, Freeman is asked where he comes up with all of his energy for the seemingly endless stream of movies he puts out. Freeman chuckles slightly before giving credit to “smoking a lot of marijuana.”

Pharmaceutical companies continue to fund campaigns to shut down legalization efforts. People such as Freeman continue to harm their lobbying efforts as they speak the truth. Pharma stands to lose billions in the painkiller market to this natural alternative.

Big PHARMA is bullshit. No wonder its taking so long to legalize this WONDERFUL medicine that helps so many and kills NO ONE. Meanwhile big PHARMA is pumping out oxys and fentanyl and its KILLING people or making them drug addicts and ruining their lives and sometimes still killimg them! Big PHARMA is the ones who should be stopped.

If you think pharmacies are, “pumping out” oxycodone and fentanyl, you’re a bit behind the times. Prescription opioid medication is extremely difficult for even legitimate long-term chronic pain sufferers to access ever since the CDC “Guidelines” were mandated in 2016. Legal prescription rates for opioid medication is at its lowest in 20 years, but overdose deaths have skyrocketed. How does that make sense? Overdoses are fueled by those taking illegal recreational street drugs, not those suffering from the effects of injury, surgery or incurable illnesses. It’s actually the pharmaceutical companies that are forcing legitimate chronic pain sufferers to taper the medication that enables them to participate in life, not run away from it, in order to make higher profits from more expensive, “alternative” medications. Opioids are just too cheap. Big Pharma is being helped by ananti-opioid zealots like P.R.O.P., who rake in the money for hiring out as, “expert witnesses”, while those of us in chronic pain are targeted and punished. I hope this never happens to you.
