Oh for heavens sake! How many more thousands have to put up with this life changing illness for it to be seen for what it is? A chronic pain disability…I’ve had this upwards of 14 years and still there is doubt! No more! Lady GaGa I doubt if you will even see this page however you are certainly not alone…you will have the support of thousand in so many countries…we are firomiteys because we have to fight in pain for the rest of our lives with disabilities like nobody else has…as in brain disease (fibro fog) taking tablets for depression and pain..chronic fatigue …nerve endings doing whatever they feel like from day to day…very tiring I can assure you…migraines tinnitus. IBS to name but a few..not alone lady GaGa …never alone my friend 💜💜

  2. Like Lady Gaga and many others who suffer with so-called “invisible illnesses” I certainly encountered many who did not believe my fibromyalgia was real. How many of us had members of the medical profession suggest our symptoms were “all in our head, a woman thing,” and then to add insult to injury, refer us to a psychologist to treat who knows what…

I was fortunate to find a doctor who was willing to work with me, to research, and and try yet another medication, a different dosage, another acupuncture treatment, to offer a referral to a new rheumatologist, neurosurgeon, physiotherapist… The short list would include the things I didn’t try, if indeed there were any.

Then after I did find a unique mind/body/spirit wellness work that did help, my doctor listened when I told him about joyofhealing founders, Tamara and Andrew Overlee and how they were helping me to uncover and deal with the numerous unresolved issues in my life that were helping to make me so very ill. He continued to watch my progress as I gradually improved physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The horrid pains gradually diminished. I was able to exercise, first in a pool-so much less impact on my tender joints and muscles, then daily walks-first for short distances then for miles. I was able to think more clearly and remember.

I am so grateful to be in remission, both pain and prescription free from this chronic, debilitating, invisible disease that was stealing my very life.

Lady Gaga is not alone in her frustration with those who do not understand or believe her illness.
