It is a Godsend. Apart from feeling a bit spaced out for a couple of days when I first started taking it (in 2000), I can honestly say the only side effects I ever had were increased energy and better sleep. Maybe I’m just lucky, but it’s luck I am profoundly grateful for, there’s more than a few people who used to “expect” me to kill myself because of the situation I was in. Gabapentin enabled me to go back to work for several years, it gives me the opportunity to feel positive about my retirement, to enjoy life, to garden, to run a home, etc, etc.
